Welcome to the Chicago Institute of Hypnosis and Coaching. We are honored to support you on your path of professional development and personal transformation. Whether you are studying hypnosis, coaching, or advancing your skills in related methodologies, our goal is to provide high-quality, ethical, and engaging education.

This Student Handbook contains important information regarding policies, procedures, expectations, and available resources. Please review it carefully and refer to it throughout your studies.

Mission

Our mission is to empower individuals to transform their lives and careers through professional, ethical, and integrative education in hypnosis and coaching.

To become a global leader in mind-body education that transforms lives and elevates standards in helping professions.

3. Academic Programs

The Institute offers the following programs:

  • Certified Hypnosis Practitioner
  • Certified Professional Coach
  • Advanced Mind-Body and Integrative Techniques
  • Workshops and Continuing Education Programs

Delivery Format: Moodle learning platform, live online sessions, and in-person intensives (when available).

4. Student Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in all scheduled classes
  • Submit assignments on time via Moodle
  • Maintain respectful and professional communication
  • Uphold academic integrity
  • Meet certification requirements

5. Attendance and Participation

Attendance is strongly encouraged and may be mandatory for certification programs. Missing more than 20% of live sessions without valid justification may result in ineligibility for certification.

If you are unable to attend:

  • Notify the instructor in advance
  • Review the session recording (if available)
  • Complete a make-up assignment

6. Assessment and Program Completion

To successfully complete a program, students must:

  • Attend all required sessions
  • Complete practical exercises and assessments
  • Submit all assignments
  • Pass final evaluations (if applicable)

Certificates are issued upon fulfillment of all academic and administrative requirements.

7. Academic Integrity

Violations of academic integrity include:

  • Plagiarism
  • Cheating
  • Providing false information
  • Unauthorized collaboration

Such violations may result in disciplinary action, including dismissal from the Institute.

8. Tuition and Refund Policy

Tuition is payable according to the terms of your Enrollment Agreement. Refunds are issued only in accordance with the Institute’s approved refund policy or applicable law.

9. Ethical Conduct

  • Maintain client confidentiality during practice
  • Provide respectful and constructive feedback
  • Avoid behavior that may be considered discriminatory, aggressive, or boundary-violating
  • Follow NGH and/or ICF Codes of Ethics (if pursuing certification)

10. Technology and Platforms

  • Moodle — learning materials, assignments, discussions
  • Zoom — live classes
  • SendPulse — email communications
  • KommoCRM — secure student data management

Students are responsible for having stable internet access, a functioning camera, and a quiet learning environment.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

The Institute adheres to its Privacy Policy. By enrolling, students consent to the processing of personal data in accordance with that policy.

12. Certification Requirements

  • Attendance of required sessions
  • Completion of all coursework
  • Successful completion of final assessments (if applicable)
  • Accumulation of required practice hours (for coaching tracks)
  • Compliance with all academic and ethical standards

13. Grounds for Dismissal

  • Violation of academic integrity
  • Failure to pay tuition
  • Unprofessional, aggressive, or boundary-violating behavior
  • Unsatisfactory academic performance

Students dismissed for violations may not be eligible for a tuition refund.

14. Program Modifications

The Institute reserves the right to make changes to schedules, curricula, instructors, and platforms. When feasible, students will be notified in advance.

15. Communication

Official communication channels include:

  • Email communications (SendPulse)
  • Announcements in Moodle
  • Live session reminders

Students are responsible for regularly checking their email and keeping contact information up to date.

16. Acknowledgment

By enrolling at the Chicago Institute of Hypnosis and Coaching, you acknowledge that:

  • You agree to comply with all policies and requirements
