Welcome to the Chicago Institute of Hypnosis and Coaching. We are honored to support your professional development and personal transformation journey. Whether you're training to become a certified hypnotist, a professional coach, or simply deepening your skills - we are committed to providing you with high-quality, ethical, and engaging education.
This handbook outlines important policies, procedures, expectations, and resources to help you succeed. Please read it carefully and refer to it throughout your program.

  • ICF-accredited coaching programs
  • NGH-certified hypnosis training
2. Mission and Vision

Mission:
To empower individuals to transform their lives and careers through ethical, professional, and integrative education in hypnosis and coaching.

Vision:
To be a global leader in mind-body training that changes lives and elevates standards in the helping professions.

3. Academic Programs

We offer the following programs:
  • Certified Hypnosis Practitioner
  • Certified Professional Coach
  • Advanced Mind-Body Techniques & Integrative Methods
  • Workshops and Continuing Education
Delivery: All programs are delivered through a combination of online platforms (Moodle), live virtual sessions, and occasional in-person intensives (where applicable).

4. Student ResponsibilitiesAs a student, you are expected to:
  • Actively participate in all scheduled classes and coursework
  • Submit assignments on time via Moodle or designated platforms
  • Maintain respectful and professional communication with staff and peers
  • Uphold academic integrity at all times (see section 7)
  • Follow certification requirements as outlined in your course materials
5. Attendance & Participation
Attendance in live sessions is highly encouraged and may be mandatory for certification courses. If you are unable to attend a session:
  • Notify your instructor in advance, if possible
  • Watch the recording (if available)
  • Complete any make-up work assigned
Students who miss more than 20% of live sessions without valid reason may be ineligible for certification.

6. Grading and CompletionWhile many of our programs are non-graded, completion is still performance-based and requires:
  • Full participation in required sessions
  • Successful completion of practical exercises and assessments
  • Submission of all required coursework and forms
  • Final evaluation (if applicable)
Certificates are awarded upon full completion of all academic and administrative requirements.

7. Academic IntegrityAll students must comply with our Academic Integrity Policy Violations such as:
  • Plagiarism
  • Cheating
  • Misrepresentation
  • Unauthorized collaboration
may result in disciplinary actions, including removal from the program.

8. Payments & Refund Policy

All tuition and fees must be paid according to the payment schedule outlined in your enrollment agreement.
Refunds are only available in accordance with our written Refund Policy or where required by law. Refund requests must be submitted in writing.

9. Ethical Conduct

Our students are expected to behave ethically and professionally. This includes:
  • Respecting client confidentiality during practice sessions
  • Providing feedback in a constructive manner
  • Avoiding any behavior that could be considered discriminatory, harassing, or disruptive
Students preparing for professional certification (e.g., NGH or ICF) are also expected to follow the relevant code of ethics of those bodies.

10. Technology & Platform Use
You will use the following platforms during your training:
  • Moodle - for course materials, assignments, and discussion forums
  • Zoom or equivalent - for live classes
  • SendPulse - for email communication
  • KommoCRM - for secure data management (student info only)
Please ensure you have reliable internet access, a webcam, and a quiet space for participation.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

We take your privacy seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how your data is collected, stored, and used.
By enrolling, you consent to the processing of your data in accordance with that policy.

12. Certification Requirements

To receive a certificate of completion and/or prepare for external certification (e.g., NGH, ICF), you must:
  • Attend required sessions
  • Complete all coursework
  • Pass any final assessments (if applicable)
  • Fulfill practice hour requirements (for coaching tracks)
  • Abide by all academic and ethical policies

13. Grounds for Dismissal

We reserve the right to dismiss any student for:
  • Violations of academic integrity
  • Non-payment of tuition
  • Disruptive or unethical behavior
  • Failure to meet academic requirements
Dismissed students may not be eligible for refunds.

14. Program Changes

We reserve the right to make changes to:
  • Curriculum or program structure
  • Schedules and instructors
  • Platform access and materials
Such changes will be communicated in advance whenever possible.

15. Communication

All official communication will be via:
  • Email (SendPulse)
  • Moodle announcements
  • Live class reminders
Please check your email regularly and keep your contact information up to date.

16. Acknowledgment

By enrolling in a program at the Chicago Institute of Hypnosis and Coaching, you confirm that:
  • You have read and understood this Student Handbook
